Hi all,

It's a great pleasure to announce that we are going to release the next version of Virus PowerCore for public beta in a few moments.

This is indeed something that people have been waiting for quite some time, so I'm sure this will create a lot of buzz out there.

Along with the release, we'll do a message at the forum, and as soon as we have an official release, we'll make some more nosie in the market.

The main news are:

Stereo version
We have included a new stereo version of the Virus. It requires significantly less bandwidth and proofs especially useful for power users working with multiple instances of the plug-in.

Program changes
The new version also introduces program changes officially.

Timing
Version 2.0 improves the timing of arpeggiator, LFO and any other component synced to clock.

Crackling
It targets issues which might lead to crackling, especially when automation is being used.

Hanging notes
Multiple issues that might result in hanging or stuck notes have been addressed.

Graphical issues
All known graphical issues have been addresed.

Upgrade price?
This upgrade is free for all Virus PowerCore users.

Since the copy protection system of the first generation PowerCores does not allow us to make public beta versions, this public beta cycle is restricted to owners of second generation PowerCore products: PowerCore PCI mkII, PowerCore Express, PowerCore Compact, PowerCore FireWire, PowerCore X8 or PowerCore 6000.

We hope for a quick beta cycle that will allow us to make a full public release soon, enabling the rest of the PowerCore users to enjoy the enhancements of the Virus synth.
