Izmedju ostalog komentarise i tadasnji/danasnji trend kopiranja i uniformnosti muzike, tzv recept muzika..o tome se vec i raspravljalo ovde - kako muzika "treba" da zvuci danas da bi se prodavala i bila popularna, svi takoreci rade "playin' safe" fazon..to je i razumljivo, ali iz mog ugla neke originalnije i karakternije muzike fali danas..

Ono sto me nateralo da otvorim thread je sledeci odgovor na pitanje:

What type of equipment do you usually use? And are you doing any of the beats on the Diesel Truckers album? I use all the same stuff that these guys use, but these guys are so trendy, they use the trendy keyboard. They use the same eggs and bacon that the next house is using. I might use the same stuff but I touch different patches. These guys are programmed, they just jumped on the bandwagon. They might say "oh Lil Jon is using the [KORG] Triton with the SP-09." They just wanna use the same formula, like twenty people will try to follow Lil Jon. While I'll still use the same equipment as Lil Jon, but I'm into other patches and stuff.
When I see those type of people, I like them to have respect for me because they know I'm not trying to copy what they do, that I'm doing a formula that's different also. I'm not gonna try to copy Pharrel's stuff. I'll flip something, but I'm not trying to copy someone, like when you listen to these R&B records: when you listen to Joe, Britney Spears, and all these different artists. They all use the same sounds. Justin Timberlake, you know, whoever's doing his production, these people are setting a formula to work at the same stuff for radio so people can hear that similar sound. Everybody has that same sound. R&B has no differentiation at all. Sony will sign an R&B artist and Interscope will sign an R&B artist and they both have the same technique. It's like, "oh yeah this is what R&B is right now, lets use that same sound." It's like, A&Rs are very stupid.
I think it's A&Rs. I call it A&A: A and Assholes. They don't have a distinctive vision to do their own stuff. A&R can't go out no more and find a distinctive band like Mandrill, or the Dazz Band, Larry Graham, Aretha Frankiln. They can't find a new R&B artist or a distinctive new rapper. They just look for whatever's popular. Like, Britney's hot, let's go find Britney 2 or 3 or 4. Usher's hot, let's go find Usher 2. Let's go find Destiny's Child number 2, let's go find more girls that sound like them. Why don't more people go left? Why don't people sign a rock band that wears alligator shoes and a suit? People are programmed to go find a rock band with black t-shirts. Like you open a rock magazine, you don't know a single group, you got fifty pages of guys, each group has black paint around they eyes and black t-shirts. Rock has like one continuous trip, like, all I gotta do is draw black paint around my eyes and put on a black shirt. Instant rock.

Pa ipak,znam par domacih bendova,neki snimaju album,neki su ga vec snimili,koji su dosta razliciti ... i zvukom,i pristupom pesama.To me navodi na razmisljanje da mozda ima neke nade.Sta kazu ostali ?

Ma ne, postavio sam znak "zbunjen" jer sam hteo da sa ironijom propratim naziv threada,ali ovakve teme definitivno treba da postoje i o ovome se na ozbiljnijem nivou mora raditi! Dakle kad bi je bilo, drzava bi to trebala da resi - sta hoce sa tim. U nekim zemljama postoje fondovi,mladim muzicarima se racuna neka vrsta staza i tako dalje... Ove nase barabe nisu u stanju da izbroje emitovanje i to plate... Kao sad cemo mi u Sokoj, pa cemo da sredimo... Kurcic...
I jebi ga, onda je potpuno prirodno da tezgarosi diktiraju tempo, odnosno oni jedini prave lovu,a para vrti de burgija nece i tako dalje,narod ko narod...
Mislim da muzickoj bransi u svetu pa i nasoj muzici treba jedno flasa-dve infuzije jer je upravo kreativnost na samrti... Stanc-prodaksn i ori...
Nedostaje entuzijazma... Svi bi sve na tacni i odmah...

Ja bi rekao da je sve to počelo neviđenom parcijalizacijom ?anrova i stilova tokom 90-tih. Dakle, ne pričam o "zlim devedesetim" u ex-YU, nego o zlim devedesetim u celom "zapadnom svetu". A po?to o Americi ne znam ba? mnogo, zadr?aću se na (Zapadnoj) Evropi.

Sedamdesetih si mogao da na istoj top listi zamisli? Kraftwerk i Led Zeppelin. I osamdesetih su na istim listama bili Clash, Laurie Anderson i Rolling Stones. Po?to su liste mahom bile organizovane po podeli Pop (ono ?to se kod nas zvalo "zabavna muzika"), Rock, Disco, Jazz i Folk. U Americi pride Soul i Country i to je otprilike bilo to. Ali brate i kad si se popeo na 24. mesto bio si veliki baja u celoj d?ungli.

E sad, A&R likovima brate treba da im puleni redovno ulaze u top 10... Da ne ?irim priču dalje, mislim da je jasno ?ta hoću da ka?em.

Posledica svega je - kada si već formirao neku mikro-?anrovsku listu, onda mora? da je puni? iz nedelje u nedelju, bez obzira na to ?to je taj mikro-?anr tog momenta recimo zapao u krizu... I onda se počne sa konfekcijom, neće? valjda da ukida? chart.
