BASIQ is an acronym for Baxandall Simulation Equalizer, a free 3-band
equalizer plugin with photorealistic graphics from Kuassa. As the name
implies, the engine is modeled after the design of the classic Baxandall
Equalizer, well known for its smooth shelves and natural-sounding response,
similar to the tone control of hi-fi systems. The simple controls allow you to
shape your source material appropriately and concisely, opening up air,
applying shimmer, or giving an extra oomph to the low end where needed.

This straightforward equalizer is well-suited for both mixing and mastering
purposes, though the neutral characteristic of basiQ lends itself as more of a
sweetening device or to give a transparent tilt to your mixes, rather than
surgical frequency correction. It is best paired on the master channel with the
Kratos Maximizer, another audio processing plugin from Kuassa, Inc.

NOVA is a parallel dynamic equalizer. Appearing in the familiar layout of a parametric equalizer,
each band also includes a full featured dynamics section allowing the processor to cover an
impressively wide range of applications. Be it a master lacking density, the drum bus asking for
more crispiness, or a sibilance problem in your perfect take: NOVA has an elegant answer.

A user friendly WYSIWYG drag and drop display paired with a classic “knob” interface gives quick
and smooth access to the various parameters driving NOVA’s powerful processing capabilities.
With its four dynamic EQ bands and additional high-pass and low-pass filter sections, NOVA can
meet the most exotic demand. Intuitive equal loudness functions help finding the optimal setting
without getting distracted by loudness differences.


In practice, the processor covers a whole bucket of tasks:

- Frequency selective compression/expansion

Kakav free zmaj!

Nekako mi deluje da je sve vise i vise ozbiljnih free pluginova, tacnije developera koji ih prave. Mislim da ce u bliskoj buducnosti ljudi moci da miksaju/masterizuju jako kvalitetno samo sa free pluginovima (mozda mogu vec i sada).

Mislim da je ta "bliska buducnost" odavno ovde, ali zbog realnosti koju su napisali Dushan i awacs na
predhonoj strani verovatno nikada nece zasijati punim sjajem... nadam se da greshim...


Ekipa iz TDR-a je bila vredna, izashla je i 1.0.6 verzija...
