again, don't plug it in and expect it to do anything other than make things sound worse. If you don't have compressor experience, don't buy this. But if you use a compressor and find it irritating how the highs get duller when it's compressing a lot in the lower frequencies - that is one common place where a multiband compressor can be far superior to regular compression.
No way you're going to understand this box without spending a full day or two with the manual and the unit hands on in front of you with audio pouring through it the whole time following tutorials and researching on google about multiband compression. And even then you will almost guaranteed misuse this box for quite some time until you really understand how to use it. You MUST manually adjust all parameters every time you change how you're using it. Even if you save your great setting as a preset, if you are tracking bass through it (for example) you'll find that if you play a little differently on a different song, different range of notes, different fingering/picking attack, different song style, whatever, you'll need to adjust stuff to make the most of that. It's the same as using a simple stomp box compressor, but with several more parameters to adjust, multiplied by 6 channels. So expect to spend probably 10 times as long AT LEAST adjusting this before getting the amazing sound it is capable of. That last bit is true whether experienced or not with multiband compression.
