DDP (Disc Description Protocol)

Disc Description Protocol. A file format used to store DVD image content onto a DLT tape or other physical media. This format is used to specify additional information about a DVD disc image that is necessary for the mastering process.

Za finalne mastere uvek sam koristio CD-architect od Sonic Foundry sada Sony Software, i nikad nisam imao problema sa manufacturing plant. Uz CD master obavezno izprintati PQ codes i nema problema.

Naravno da je vrlo važno koristiti kvalitetne medije, nikako bulk product sa štapa.

Saradnju sam imao sa DADC u Austriji, oni su uvek preuzimali CD master i direktno od njega pravili glass-master. Preporučuje se rezanje brzinom od 1x.

DVD authoring-om i mastering-om se nisam bavio, zato nemam komentar na DDP. DDP se ne koristi za CD-ove. CD mora da je Red-Book compatible, i mora zato uvek da se reže "Disk-at-Once".
