Most compact Pro Tools system
Craig, I thought a fellow geek like you might appreciate this.

Sony VAIO UX280P 1.1 lb handheld running WinXP Pro, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HD
M-Audio Transit Audio Interface
Targus Super Mini USB 2.0 4-Port Hub (velcro'ed to Transit)
Shure E3c Sound Isolating Earphones
IOGear Bluetooth Optical Mini Mouse
Pro Tools M-Powered 7.3

All in, it weighs less than 2 lbs. And the VAIO is 6'' x 4'' x 1.5'' with the screen slid back down over the keyboard.

Speaking o' the keyboard, it's actually quite usable BION. Key combinations can be tricky (e.g. Ctl-=), but I'm getting better at them. Most of the time, I'm editing with the E, A, S, D, F, and B keys anyway.

Oh, and the screen is a touchscreen, so instead of the mouse, I sometimes use the included "pen" cursor... but I like having a mouse for the scrollwheel and right-click functionality (new for PT LE and M-P 7.3).
