Would you like to know why I am drawn to your work?
People say "I love music", when they really mean to say "music makes me happy" or
"music makes me feel good", etc.
But you are very different.
Listening to your work, it seems to me that music is almost sacred to you. I can hear that your connection to music is as profound and inherent, for example, as Vincent Van Gogh's connection to color, or a child's connection to innocence, or a bird's connection to flight.
I believe that is why you must continue to make as much music as you can. Your have a rare and extraordinary relationship to music which gives you the power and privelege to compose in the pure way that nature intended, in much the same way that air is meant to be breathed.
And you are one of only a few with this gift. (In your heart you probably know this already, but isn't it uplifting to know that someone else noticed?)
When I listen to your songs, I feel your deep, genuine, and enormous love and respect for music.
It is this precious love for what you do that we are experiencing and it is so beautiful.
I hope this makes sense. It is so hard to find the right words. I hope this letter makes you happy and inspires you to want to write much more beautiful music.
