DAW - Optimizacija WinXP-a !
 

Cuo sam da je stelovanje Windowsa XP za rad sa muzikom drugacije. Dal mi neko moze objasniti koje parametre moram ispostovati za pravilan rad?
Namjeravam koristiti Nuendo 2.0 i neki dobar sempler(software). Radije bih koristio 98-icu ali ona ne podrzava 1GB ili 2GB RAM-a.
Ako je vazno, maticna ploca ce biti P4C800 DELUXE i sound karta LUNA(II ili EX,koja je prava?).
Sta mi se moze preporuciti? :( Molim za upute. :roll: :roll: :roll:

imamo istu plocu i slicnu karticu (ja iman pulsar).
win98 zaboravi i instaliraj xp.

moras bit jako oprezan kad instaliras system i narocito SFP software na tu plocu, jer ako falijes nece ti nista radit!

najbitnije od svega je da prije instalacije u biosu iskjucis HT!
onda ides sa standardnon instalacijon xp-a, bez ikakvih kerefeka, po sistemu "next, next..."
nakon instalacije xp-a instaliraj sfp sa svim driverima i onda mozes (ako zelis) u biosu ponovo ukjucit HT.
znaci, bitno je SFP instalirat sa iskjucenin HT-om, za ostale programe nije bitno.

takodjer bi ti savjetova da nakon instalacije xp-a i sfp-a updateas drivere od konpjutera u Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC - meni se pokazalo da tako system najbolje radi.

e sad ti evo sto ja jos radin, a ako netko ima primjedbe neka ispravi i dopuni.


Flashiraj BIOS (na svoj rizik).
(BIOS) ukjuci: PCI 2.1 Support.
(BIOS) iskjucit: Plug & Play OS, Power management, USB Support...


1. Processor scheduling stavi na background services (ovo je jako vazno).
Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Advanced Tab > Background Services

2. Visual effects stavi na minimum.
Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Visual Effects Tab > Adjust for best performance
(btw: ja onda pribacin na custom i ukjucin samo use common task in folders)

3. iskjuci Desktop Background Image
Right Click Desktop > Properties > Desktop Tab > Background None

4. iskjuci Screen Saver
Right Click Desktop > Properties > Screen Saver > None

5. iskjuci Fast User Switching
Start > Settings > Control Panel > User Accounts > Change the way users log on or off > Untick Use Fast User Switching

6. iskjuci Power Schemes
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Power Options > Always On > Turn off monitor and turn off hard discs to Never

7. iskjuci Hibernation
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Power Options > Hibernate > Untick Hibernation

8. aktiviraj DMA na Hard Diskovima/CD ROMS
Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers > Right Click Primary IDE channel and Secondary IDE channel > Properties > Advanced Settings Tab > Transfer Mode to "DMA if available" for both devices.

9. iskjuci System Sounds
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Sounds Tab > Sound Scheme to None.

10. Do Not Map Through Soundcard
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Hardware Tab > (highlight your soundcard from the list) > Properties > Audio Devices > (highlight your soundcard from the list) > Properties, and check the "Do not map through this device" checkbox.

11. iskjuci System Restore
Start > Settings > Control Panel> System > System Restore Tab. Tick the "Turn off System Restore on all Drives"

12. iskjuci Automatic Updates
Start > Settings > Control Panel> System > Automatic Updates > Turn off automatic updating. I want to update my computer manually

14. iskjuci Error Reporting
Start > Settings > Control Panel> System > Advanced > Error Reporting > Disable Error Reporting

15. iskjuci Remote Assistance
Start > Settings > Control Panel> System > Remote > Untick Allow remote assistance invitations to be sent from this computer

16. fixiraj Swap File (Virtual Memory)
Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Advanced > Virtual Memory Change > Custom Size. stavi najmanju i najvecu na istu vridnost.
(btw: ja san dosta vrimena radi sa iskjucenin swap fileom bez problema. cak mi se cini da mi je system bio brzi)

18. iskjuci Offline Files
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Folder Options > Offline Files Untick "Enable Offline Files"
(ovo i ne moras - ja ne cinin)

19. iskjuci Remote Desktop
Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Remote > Untick "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer"

20. iskjuci Internet Synchronise Time
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Date and Time > Internet Time > Untick "Automatically synchronize with internet time server"
(mislin da nemoras ni ovo)

21. iskjuci Hide Inactive Icons
Start > Settings > Taskbar and Start Menu > Taskbar TAB > Uncheck "Hide Inactive Icons"

22. iskjuci Automatic Desktop Cleanup Wizard
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Desktop > Customise Desktop > Untick "Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard every 60 days"

23. iskjuci NTFS Last Access Time Logging (NTFS File Systems Only)
Start > Run > regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Control > Filesystem. Add a new DWORD-value NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate and set value to 1.

24. iskjuci Creation of DOS Compatible 8.3 filenames (NTFS Only)
Start > Run > regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Control > Filesystem. Set the NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation to 1.

25. iskjuci CDROM Autoplay
Start > Run > regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Services > Cdrom. Set AutoRun to 0.

26. iskjuci Notification Area Balloon Tips
Start > Run > regedit > HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Explorer > Advanced. Create a new DWORD value called EnableBalloonTips and set to 0.

Right Click Start > Explorer > Right Click Each Disc > Properties > Untick "Allow Indexing Service to index this disc for fast file searching".

Start > Run > Typing "msconfig" > Startup > untick any items you don't need. (meni se dize samo SFP - sve ostalo je iskjuceno)

29. namisti Hardware Graphics Acceleration on FULL
Right click Desktop > Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshooting > Hardware Acceleration > to full.


30. unistaliraj Microsoft Messenger
c:\windows\inf\sysoc.inf > "msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7" > remove word 'hide' > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Uninstall Messenger.

31. iskjuci Write Caching On The Disk
Right click My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > Disk Drives > Properties > Untick "Enabled Write Caching On The Disk".

pazi da ti luna ne dijeli irq-ove sa necim! ova ploca je vrlo zajebana za to nastimat i ja to radim po princiupu "chorave koke", jer neznan drukcije sa ovon plocon :oops:
zbog ovega ti je dobro u biosu USB i sve portove koje ne koristis iskjucit!

pazi! ja iman P4C800 DELUXE i nikad u zivotu mi system nije bolje radi - prezadovoljan sam, ali znan ljude koji imaju problema. pretpostavljam da nesto grijese, ali se svejedno malo bolje raspitaj prije nego se definitivno odlucis za plocu!
mozda mozes uzet nekog athlona, sa kojim ces dobit odlicne performanse a proc ces dosta jeftinije?

Naravno da je bio brzi, ali za tako nesto u nasoj struci je potrebna ogromna memorija.
Mnogo je brze upisivanje i iscitavanje u ram-u, nego sto to moze da omoguci HD. Samo... s obzirom na velike VST instrumente i sl. koliki bi ram trebalo imati za tako nesto....

sad iman 2gb. trenutno mi je swap ukjucen, ali bas cu ga iskjucit neko vrijeme da vidin sto se dogadja.
ima li swap file veze kad je u pitanju sviranje direktno sa diska?

Nislim da nema, ali sumnjam da ce ti cak i 2 gb biti dovoljno...

Ja bih volio da bez potrebe ne kupujem komponente koje mi nece moc odradit stvar kako treba ili da je prekomplikovano. Ako postoji mogucnost da se radi dovoljno dobro sa AMD-ovim procesorima, radije bih platio manje jer su oni jeftiniji, a da li obavljaju zadacu? I maticne ploce za njih su jeftnije. Da li Luna treba biti EX ili sam dvojka i jel velika razlika izmedju Pulsara i Lune...
Naime. hocu da kupim, osim compjutera, i miksetu i par mikrofona i mikrofonsko predpojacalo i recimo dilay i reverb(dal je neophodno ili se mogu koristiti softverske sprave), a imam 5000?. Sta se pametno moze za te novce kupiti?
Vrlo mi je vazno da mogu bez zastoja da radim. Izludi me pad sistema ili nemogucnost da "vozim" onoliko kanala koliko mi treba(sto vise to bolje).
Koliko sam ja vidio, postoje dvije opcije, dvije popularne konfiguracije. Jedna je zasnovana na AMD-u a druga na Intelu. Zelio bih jeftiniju varijantu a da mi, po mogucnosti, ne zadaje previse glavobolje. Dal je to moguce, a ako jeste sta da uzmem. Inace sam se pozabavio tvojom verzijom stvari Sandro, jer sam slusao one klape sto si snimao pa mi se dopalo. Akusticni instrumenti i glasovi su meni u prvom planu te me privukla ta opcija sa Intelovom plocom,al da je skupa jeste.
Gori mi pod nogama, moram se brzo odluciti.

athlon, ce ti radit odlicno. ja neman iskustva sa njime, zato te neko drugi mora savjetovat kojega ces uzet i koji ce se dobro slagat sa lunom.

sto se tice lune i pulsara, software je potpuno isti samo pulsar ima vise snage, pa sa njime mozes ucitat vise efekata i instrumenata.
medjutim, ja bi ti savjetova da uzmes lunu (neznan koja je razlika izmedju te dvi) sa kojon ces dobit potpuno iste drivere i mogucnost routhinga, a ako ti vremenom pofali snage, onda ces uzet jos jednog pulsara bez ulaza i izlaza (samo su chipovi), koji je dosta jeftiniji od normanog.
ja ti nebi savjetova da uzimas mixer, osim ako ti ne treba neka mixetica tipa mackie big knob za monitoring.
narocito nemoj trosit lovu na vanjske jeke i sranja jer ti je to bacanje love bezveze.

dakle, uzmi:
- amd-a i plocu za njega - neka ti netko preporuci tocno sto.
- lunu - milsin da mozes uzet jeftiniju verziju, jer je na njoj sve sto tebi treba
- jedan dobar mikrofon
- mono pretpojacalo

Sandro, hvala na ulozenom trudu :D , puno mi pomazete ali imam jos pitanja, ako mi ne treba mixeta dal trebam onda dva monitora? Kazu da se tako lakse radi, dal je to istina? Na jednom editujes a na drugom mozes mixati, mmmm? :roll:

Evo da se ukljucim jer radim sa dva monitora pa da ti kazem prvo u sklopu onog pitanja za mixetu...koristices luninu mixetu za sve operacije iako ti to nije neophodno pa koristi cubase-ovu mixetu jer lunu mozes koristiti u XTC modu (sve lunine effekte i instrumente koristis bez opterecivanja CPU-a) ali znaci u ovom slucaju nemas mixer na raspolaganju niti routhing koji je najjaci upravo kod Creamware-a....dva monitora ja koristim na jednom racunaru za pulsar-1.monitor i monitoring-2.monitor...na drugom racunaru opet dva ali jos ne u potpunoj funkciji zbog finansija za boljim drugim racunarom znaci VSTi-je i cubase aranzman

malo sam konfuzno ispricao ali sa obzirom da je ovoliko sati nije ni cudo :roll:
