sad citam u najnovijem Resolution casopisu, intervju sa Chris Lord Alge-om.
Par interesantnih stvari koje je izjavio...
(ko ne zna za njega, miksova je SVE Green Day ploce, My Chemical Romance, Sum41, Manic Street Preachers, Fleetwood Mac, Alanis Morissete, Bon Jovi, Pink, U2, Santana, Placebo, Prince, Joe Cocker, Tina Turner, Foo Fighters, Kooks, itd itd...jednom reci - sve!!
- Koristi stari NS10 sa Yamaha P-2002M pojacalom i Infinity BU-2 sub.
- M&K zvucnike kad treba da se pusta klijentima jako!!
- UVEK "pomaze" bubnjeve - Sound Replacer, samplovi svi ufazi i dinamicki
locked, pa ih onda "dozira"
- Gitara insert - LA-3 compressor
- Dobos insert Neve 2264X + SSL comp sa deska
- Bass insert 1176

imas interview (http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/may07/articles/cla.htm) s njim u Sound On Sound magazinu (May 2007)
"I listen really quietly. When you've been doing this job for a while, you tend to listen at such a low volume that in order for it to hit you in the face, you have to really push it. I listen on [Yamaha] NS10s, the original ones with the covers, plus an old Infinity 12-inch subwoofer that cost me $300, so I can hear the ultra-low end. Listening at low volumes prevents fatigue and you can hear better what's going on. When you turn things up, after a while all your moves become a smear. So when you're doing really critical moves, do them at a low level. Of course, Lord-Alge wouldn't be in the world of rock & roll if he didn't occasionally like cranking up the volume, and he also needs to be able to do so to create a vibe for the band. To this end his room at Resonate Studios is kitted out with two Miller & Kreisel MPS 2510P speakers for left and right. Surrounds and centre are MPS 1611Ps (serial numbers 1, 2 and 3), Sub 1 is an MPS 5420, Sub 2 an MPS 5410, and bass management is courtesy of the same company's LFE4. "They sound really clean," says Lord-Alge. "I like them."

Ovo je interesantno jer nema samo on taj problem - evo sta Andy Wallace (Nirvana, RATM..) kaze na isti problem:
What has been your most difficult moment in a recording studio?
It's difficult for me when I have a mix that I know is sounding good and the artist and the producer, or whoever is appropriate, starts getting too involved in little things that really don't make a big difference; they're not making a better mix out of it, they're just changing things. I don't mind that to a point, but if it gets almost endless ? you know, where they just can't let go and need to keep changing things ? then I feel like I'm just doing damage control, trying to keep the thing from eroding. Sometimes that'll happen. They'll ask me, ?What do you think?? and I'll say, ?I liked the way it was when I played it for you; otherwise, I wouldn't have played it.? Is it possible to make some changes to it without my hating it? Sure. Are any of the changes you're making, in my estimation, making it any better? No. And, collectively, when you keep doing it, sooner or later we're going to get past where we are. So that's always difficult when I get into a situation like that where it's getting overboard.
