A company called CME announced a new range of controller keyboards at MacWorld and will be showing them at NAMM. I think they are going to be a smash-hit. They have a range of 41, 61, 76-unweighted and 88-weighted key controllers. The keyboards feel great - it's the weighted action used by General Music in their pianos. They are encased in duraluminum and feel very solid. They have MIDI and USB outputs.
The top of the controller has transport buttons, nine faders and eight encoders, all assignable. There's an additional data encoder with a ring of LEDs around it for feedback. There's an optional FireWire audio interface with stereo 192kHz line in and out and S/PDIF I/O.
The street price for the 88-key weighted controller is supposed to be $499! This thing smokes the M-Audio controller. It feels WAY better, looks better and has more features.
